Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol
The Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol is an open standard, introduced by Google in 2025, that lets independent AI agents discover each other and collaborate across vendors and frameworks.
Where MCP connects an agent to tools and data, A2A connects agents to other agents, defining how they advertise skills and exchange tasks.
Together the two protocols form a common substrate for interoperable, multi-vendor agent systems.
