Glossary · Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Bring your own key (BYOK) is a model where the customer supplies their own model-provider API key so an agent runs on the customer’s own account and billing.

BYOK gives buyers control over model choice, data handling, and inference cost, and keeps usage under their own provider relationship.

It shifts inference cost to the buyer, which changes how an agent’s price per outcome should be calculated.
