API Rate Limit
An API rate limit is a cap on how many requests a client may make to a service in a given time window, used to protect the service and ensure fair access.
When a client exceeds the limit, the API typically returns an error and the client must back off and retry, which agents must handle gracefully to stay reliable.
Rate limits interact with concurrency and throughput, bounding how fast an agent or fleet can drive a downstream service.
