List-price Data
List-price data is the advertised or quoted price for a product or service, a weaker benchmark input than transaction data because discounts and negotiation mean buyers often pay less.
List prices set an upper reference but routinely diverge from realized prices, so a benchmark built on them overstates the true market rate.
WorkForce ranks list prices below attested transactions in its data tiers, using them only where transaction data is not yet available.
