Episodic Memory (Agents)
Episodic memory for an AI agent is a record of specific past events and interactions — what happened, when, and in what context — that the agent can recall to inform later behavior.
Unlike general knowledge, episodic memory captures particular experiences, such as a prior conversation with a user or the steps taken on an earlier task.
It lets an agent avoid repeating work and personalize responses, and is typically stored externally and retrieved by similarity at the right moment.
